Its almost here, E.T.A. 1 week
Washington is working me hard, but other than that I can already see God more and more in this endeavor. The CityReach conference Call went well and is the last one, now all we have to do is put plan into action. Life Point is doing well too, the number of visitors is growing more and more and there numbers are gaining. Aaron, Maggie, and I are reading through the book Fresh Wind Fresh Fire. The book talks of a pastor who is now pastoring one of the biggest churches in New York, Long story short the church he was pastoring was literally and figuratively falling apart right before him. So he did what every person dose when they come to that point, he prayed earnestly to God for his Guidance and help, and already God has done amazing thing for this church and I'm only in chapter 2. I think that prayer is such a huge power given to us, and yet is also a great weakness to us. If we pray God promises to answer, On the other hand, If we don't pray then we limit ourselves to our own power, which is nothing compared to the power of the Creator of All Things. We limit ourselves so much when we choose not to pray. Imagine that your cell phone dies...tragic in todays times I know but try to imagine, the first thing a person would do is to plug it into an outlet. In doing so you now have power to a device that can do the daily needs of a person. Its the same with prayer, God is the source of all power, so what happens if we don't ever plug into the source. Our battery dies. If you don't know God through what Jesus did then you get death, equaling hell. But if you connect to the source through salvation you get life, equaling eternity with Christ. Even if you already know Jesus, eventually your battery is going to go low, thats where prayer comes in. Prayer connects you directly to the source of unlimited power. We would plug in our phones if they were running low or dying, Why not ourselves when our battery runs low and we just don't know what to do anymore. Plug into the source of prayer that God has given you, you will never run out of strength, courage, faith, and hope. Jehova Jireh!
