Post CityReach update

So CityReach 09 was a huge success! Thank you to all who came alongside us at Life|Point for another awesome year, and to those who have been continually praying for us all! This year was a little different for me not being a normal CityReacher, but instead being The Intern was a nice change that showed me just how much time and effort, and sometimes heartache goes into making something of this scale go as well as it did this year. It was pretty cool being able to sort of float around in the different tracks, I defiantly got to see CityReach as a whole and not just through a single track. It was pretty cool to serve with everyone this year in doing a little bit of Car Wash, Special Ops, Sports Camp, and Even a little bit of C.O.P.s through blitzing the town and handing out Life|Point Cards and info, but all in all I had so much fun serving with my friends that come from all over to impact communities for Christ! Follow ups are going pretty good and we have already had 5 new families come to Life|Point as a result of CityReach! God is Good, and with little time to breath, Summit Lake Camp is upon us! I'm excited to hear what Aaron has for us at Camp this year and just excited to see old friends and make new ones as another Great year of Camp is on its way! God is just so good, I can't even begin to tell you.Jehovah Jireh!

Its almost here, E.T.A. 1 week

Washington is working me hard, but other than that I can already see God more and more in this endeavor. The CityReach conference Call went well and is the last one, now all we have to do is put plan into action. Life Point is doing well too, the number of visitors is growing more and more and there numbers are gaining. Aaron, Maggie, and I are reading through the book Fresh Wind Fresh Fire. The book talks of a pastor who is now pastoring one of the biggest churches in New York, Long story short the church he was pastoring was literally and figuratively falling apart right before him. So he did what every person dose when they come to that point, he prayed earnestly to God for his Guidance and help, and already God has done amazing thing for this church and I'm only in chapter 2. I think that prayer is such a huge power given to us, and yet is also a great weakness to us. If we pray God promises to answer, On the other hand, If we don't pray then we limit ourselves to our own power, which is nothing compared to the power of the Creator of All Things. We limit ourselves so much when we choose not to pray. Imagine that your cell phone dies...tragic in todays times I know but try to imagine, the first thing a person would do is to plug it into an outlet. In doing so you now have power to a device that can do the daily needs of a person. Its the same with prayer, God is the source of all power, so what happens if we don't ever plug into the source. Our battery dies. If you don't know God through what Jesus did then you get death, equaling hell. But if you connect to the source through salvation you get life, equaling eternity with Christ. Even if you already know Jesus, eventually your battery is going to go low, thats where prayer comes in. Prayer connects you directly to the source of unlimited power. We would plug in our phones if they were running low or dying, Why not ourselves when our battery runs low and we just don't know what to do anymore. Plug into the source of prayer that God has given you, you will never run out of strength, courage, faith, and hope. Jehova Jireh!

One week down, two till City Reach

Well its friday, our day off. Its cloudy and raining so not much to do but Blog. This week has been a pretty long week physically, mentally, and spiritually. Aaron and I have been taking phone calls and emails like crazy which is awesome that the community is responding. Thus far the Sports Camp numbers are more than last year and Video Game Camp is getting there. Maggie Murry who will also interning is leaving today to make the long haul from arkansas to washington. Its a 2 day drive so she should get here sometime on saturday, and I thought my drive was bad. My 3 hour drive pails in comparison to her 14 hour 2 day journey. She is going to add allot of valuable assets tho all the planning and work we have to do before CityReach, so It should be an awesome summer! God has really been speaking to me these last few days. He has been working on me really hard about putting some things away, and to grow up into the person He has called me to be. I'm really Excited for what God has in store these up-coming weeks with City Reach and Beyond! Jehova Jireh!

First Week in WAPA

The first week has been AWESOME! and the great thing about it is its only Wednesday. The thing that just keeps ringing in my ears is Jehovah Jireh! God will provide. I think back on all the things that lead up to me being here and being able to do all this and there is only one rational explanation on how I got here and that my friends is God! I feel so full, God has provided soo much already and I know that thats not even the half of it. I can just feel god in this city! He is so present here that I know that great things are going to happen in Washington. God has shown me so much, now all thats left to do is put the plan in to action and get the work done, and believe me there is plenty of it. Its hard to express the way that I feel right now, Its almost like I have been sitting in a dark room and someone opened the blinds and the whole entire room is filled with this awesome light, I think if ever there was a time in my life like when God appeared to Saul on the road to Damascus this is it. But the awesome part about that is I know God isn't done with me yet! This is only the beginning, so now all thats left is staying faithful to the cause and to not lose sight of the goal and more importantly God.

Words just do it no justice.

I am in awe of the creator, the God of my yesterdays, today, and my tomorrows. I was riding my bike today and was shown just a glimpse of how awesome our God is. I looked up and saw God. I looked around and saw God. In the simple breeze. In the clouds. Its quite amazing how God makes the simplest things hit closest to your heart. It just shows that God is so big he doesn't even need the big things, even the smallest leaf blowing in the breeze on a setting horizon. God is amazing.

Beyond Words.

Im utterly speechless....., words don't come to mind to describe the feeling that hovers over me right now. Im SO close to utter and full surrender it brings me to tears, I can literally feel myself being torn between full and wholly surrender yet I fall short over and over again. I know that Im being called to serve, I can feel God saying its time, the other day I looked up to the sky and was utterly awed beyond any comprehension of my simple mind on how mighty and AWESOME God is. I have never been so convicted the past few weeks and let me tell you they have been some of the best weeks of my life. Im indwelled by a God that was soo big that he created all, he Created the galaxy and all in it....yet still wants to know me. That my friends is love. Love on only a level that God could have. Glory be to God! His love endures forever! You are the light unto my soul, you are my purpose......YOUR EVERYTHING!

Psalm 37

I was studying my bible and stumbled upon psalm 37, and let me just tell you God hit me with that verse like I would never have believed.  Reading through the psalm the theme basically comes down to Faith and throughout the psalm it contrasts the wicked man with the Righteous. Verse 5-6 says: Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause is like the noonday sun. Right there in that passage it calls for faith, it calls for a Commitment to faith in God. it says if you commit to trusting in me I will do this for you, I will make your righteousness shine like the dawn. Verse 7 says: Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Don't worry when the wicked plot against you and carry out their ways for it says in verses 10 and 11: A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found. But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy great peace. That tells me that what's there to worry about if the wicked plot on me because the will soon be gone and even if i look far and wide they WON'T BE THERE. If you commit yourself to God and keep faith he will deliver you from the wicked and their plots to destroy you. So from me to you...have a little faith.
