Psalm 37
I was studying my bible and stumbled upon psalm 37, and let me just tell you God hit me with that verse like I would never have believed. Reading through the psalm the theme basically comes down to Faith and throughout the psalm it contrasts the wicked man with the Righteous. Verse 5-6 says: Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause is like the noonday sun. Right there in that passage it calls for faith, it calls for a Commitment to faith in God. it says if you commit to trusting in me I will do this for you, I will make your righteousness shine like the dawn. Verse 7 says: Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Don't worry when the wicked plot against you and carry out their ways for it says in verses 10 and 11: A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found. But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy great peace. That tells me that what's there to worry about if the wicked plot on me because the will soon be gone and even if i look far and wide they WON'T BE THERE. If you commit yourself to God and keep faith he will deliver you from the wicked and their plots to destroy you. So from me to you...have a little faith.
